Fundraiser For Captain Tierney

Fundraiser for Captain Vincent Tierney of the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department. He has been with the department for 14 years and was a fire explorer in a high school program before that. He had surgery a week or so before Christmas and there have been some pretty severe complications that have had him in the ICU for about two weeks now and was originally given a 30% chance of survival. He has made some great strides in recovery recently and has been removed from the vent and is hopefully going to be moved from the ICU this week. He will eventually have to have surgery again to complete the original procedure and will have about 6 months of physical therapy and recovery time ahead of him before he can return to work.

Captain Tierney is 33 years old and his wife is also a firefighter for DeKalb County. They have three young children and Captain Tierney works three jobs to support his family, all of which he will not be able to do until sometime this summer most likely.
